The official poster for the 2024 Dead of Summer Music Festival held in Manchester, VT.
The festival began as a concept of an event that paid tribute to the music of The Grateful Dead. It has evolved over time to be a music festival that includes original musical acts as well as some Dead tribute bands. This year's event features music by Pink Talking Fish, Neighbor, Max Creek, and many others.
The concept of this poster was given to me by Joe Levy of Whirlygig Music (the event's coordinator). The art references the Grateful Dead song "Samson and Delilah" and specifically the lyric: "And they bees made honey in the lion's head".
